Sometimes citations happen
Citations are usually issued when a vehicle does not have a valid permit displayed or when parked in the incorrect zone for the permit. Having a parking permit does not guarantee you a parking space and does not justify parking in the incorrect zone.
Fines and sanctions are the responsibility of the owner of the permit displayed on the vehicle at the time of the violation.
When a vehicle is not registered with us at the time of the violation, fines and sanctions are the responsibility of the vehicle owner as listed in state vehicle registration records if the operator is not associated with IU at the time of the violation.
If you believe that a citation has been issued improperly, you have the option to submit an appeal within 14 days of the date on the citation.
